Cortez Allen and Brice McCain to swap roles

Cortez Allen has been less than stellar through the first six games after signing his extension before this season started. ESPN Steelers reporter Scott Brown reminds us how Allen got burned against Cleveland for the 51-yard touchdown catch to TE Jordan Cameron. As a result, Steelers DC will incorporate CB Brice McCain into the left cornerback position and put Cortez Allen in as a nickelback when the Steelers are in their five-defensive backs formation. Earlier this week Mike Tomlin hinted at lineup changes after the Steelers were gashed for a 31-10 loss to the Browns and neither the offense nor defense has put any consistency on the field so far yet this season.

Jadeveon Clowney game-time decision

If the Pittsburgh Steelers already didn’t have enough to worry about with trying to ensure that their offense can score more points than J.J. Watt can on Monday night, they may have to deal with Jadeveon Clowney along with Watt, as Cloweny has returned to limited practice this week and will be a game-time decision according to Around the NFL’s Marc Sessler. Clowney has missed the majority of the season recovering from knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus.
