We’re almost at the midpoint of the 2014 NFL season. Some teams will start to separate themselves from the pack and others will start planning their drafts.

Here at Nice Pick Cowher we are not only a bunch of nerds who follow the Pittsburgh Steelers tirelessly but we are also a bunch of nerds who follow the NFL tirelessly. Therefore we put our money (or maybe just our pride) where our mouths are and make picks on every NFL game each week. We don’t mess around with point spreads or anything like that. Just straight up picks.
We finally have a Thursday night game that has a chance to be competitive and close with San Diego facing off against Denver for first place in the AFC West. Buffalo goes to New York to see just how badly the Jets can mess up this week and Houston and Tennessee battle in an AFC South divisional matchup. The Baltimore Ravens will try to continue their hot streak against a Cincinnati Bengals team that appears to be on a decline in a game Steelers fans are hoping both teams lose.
The Steelers are in the midst of a three-game home stand where they’ll welcome Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts, winners of their last five games. The Steelers have yet to post back-to-back victories or defeats and are trying to change that course this weekend while welcoming back some players from injury like Ryan Shazier and Shamarko Thomas.
Justin was the big winner last week, blowing us all out of the water with 11 winners. He’s now tied for the overall lead with me which means now I will destroy him.
