NPC’s Week 9 NFL Picks

facebooktwitterreddit

We’ve reached midseason in the NFL. Each game from here on out is officially a “must win” game for most of the teams. Except for the Raiders.

Here at Nice Pick Cowher we are not only a bunch of nerds who follow the Pittsburgh Steelers tirelessly but we are also a bunch of nerds who follow the NFL tirelessly. Therefore we put our money (or maybe just our pride) where our mouths are and make picks on every NFL game each week. We don’t mess around with point spreads or anything like that. Just straight up picks.

More from Steelers News

The Thursday night matchup features two teams desperate to stop sucking as much as they have been in the early part of the season. The entire NFC South is below .500 and the winner of Thursday night’s showdown between the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers is for an even record and the division lead. Sounds exciting, right? For some reason the geniuses who make up the NFL schedule each year picked this week for six teams to be on a bye as well so treasure these football moments this weekend. Peyton Manning and the Broncos travel to New England to take on Tom Brady and the Patriots. Is it me or does Peyton never seem to get this game at home? He’s forever playing in New England. Hope they make good chicken parm up there.

The Steelers are facing an AFC North showdown with the hated rival Baltimore Ravens. This time before the game there will be Mean Joe Greene highlights and memories of the Super Steelers of the 70s instead of morons in purple justifying why they wore their Ray Rice jersey out in public, so that’s something to look forward to. The Steelers will try to win three in a row against the Ravens after putting on an offensive explosion against the Indianapolis Colts last week. Should be an intense atmosphere for Sunday Night Football and this might be the night they even let Hines Ward speak more than three minutes for the broadcast. Anything can happen.

Justin was once again the winner last week, and has now taken full ownership of the overall lead. Which one of you guys is giving him the inside tips? With only thirteen games on the schedule each pick counts heavily this week so it will be interesting to see how it shakes out. Feel free to join us in making picks of your own in the comments section, or take the opportunity to heckle and criticize our predictions if that’s your deal.
