Moving on

The Steelers are in the midst of a three-game win streak here in Week 10. It took them eight weeks into the season to win their first back-to-back game so to say the team needs to focus on not letting down after the big victory over the Ravens is an understatement. Bob Labriola reminds us that after the Steelers first “quality win” over the Carolina Panthers, they lost the subsequent game at home to the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Then after a win in Jacksonville, the team lost to the Browns, badly. Mike Tomlin has basically set the tone for the week on making sure the team guards against giving up even a little bit of the momentum they have going for them right now.

"“That’s quite frankly one of the things we have to guard against. Winning a big, emotional game like that and having the ability to move forward individually and collectively to the next challenge will define us. It always does. It’s universal in football. There are many examples you can cite of teams having to move on.” – Mike Tomlin"

Epic mismatch

Even ESPN realizes the potential let down the Steelers could have against the Jets, but also the potential to really blow the doors off of Met Life Stadium, considering how well the Steelers offense has been playing the past two games. The Jets have struggled all season against the pass while the Steelers are definitely coming alive in that department. Ben Roethlisberger is completing over 77% of his passes when dropping back against four or fewer pass rushers for ten touchdowns to zero interceptions. ESPN calculated that he’s being pressured the same amount as he was earlier in the season; he’s just doing a phenomenal job, particularly through the past two games.
