Pittsburgh Steelers Week 10 Winners and Losers

facebooktwitterreddit

Welp, the Steelers were the Steelers on Sunday, playing to their opponents level of competition. I thought the Tampa Bay game was embarrassing, but Pittsburgh just lost to the Jets. Many losers in this game, but let’s take a look at the biggest winners and losers of week 10.

More from Still Curtain

Winners

Jason Worilds

Worilds didn’t have another incredible game like he has the past couple weeks, but this week came something that the past 2 haven’t, and that was sacks. Worilds was registered with 2 sacks on the day.

Martavis Bryant

Bryant had the lone touchdown for the Steelers after an 80 yard bomb thrown by Ben Roethlisberger. He ended with 4 receptions for 143 yards. Very impressive. Bryant is really turing into a number two receiver in the NFL and taking advantage of Markus Wheaton‘s lack of cohesiveness with Big Ben.

Losers

Antonio Brown

This may be the only time Brown has been on this list, but it is well deserved this week. Brown caused 2 of 4 turnovers for the Jets, and wasn’t a huge part of the offense yet still keeping his streak alive of 5 receptions with 50 yards.

Offensive Line

The offensive line failed to protect Big Ben AND open up running lanes for the running backs. They were going up against a very good defensive line, but Ben had to be Ben a lot Sunday afternoon.

Ben Roethlisberger

We all knew it was too good to be true. Ben’s outstanding string of games came to a very abrupt end against the worst pass defense in the league. After throwing only 3 interceptions on the season, he threw 2 Sunday evening. He got zero offense running in a game that was supposed to be another hay day for him.

Shaun Suisham

Mr. Reliable was not himself yesterday. He missed a 23 yard field goal and had a terrible onside kick. Had he not missed the short field goal, he would have been on the winners list for making a career high 53 yard field goal.
