NPC’s Week 12 NFL Picks

facebooktwitterreddit

Here we are at Week 12 in the 2014 NFL Schedule. The Oakland Raiders, at 0-10 have officially been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. Seriously, they really have. That’s quite an accomplishment to be eliminated before Thanksgiving. Well done, Raiders. Let’s see if you can finish strong and run the table for that 0-16 perfection of losing. Otherwise in the NFL division races are heating up all over the place so at least there’s that to tide us over while the Steelers are on a bye this week.

More from Still Curtain

Here at Nice Pick Cowher we are not only a bunch of nerds who follow the Pittsburgh Steelers tirelessly but we are also a bunch of nerds who follow the NFL tirelessly. Therefore we put our money (or maybe just our pride) where our mouths are and make picks on every NFL game each week. We don’t mess around with point spreads or anything like that. Just straight up picks.

The Thursday night game will feature those winless Raiders against the Kansas City Chiefs so, go ahead and catch up on some of your DVR’d shows if you want. The Browns get Josh Gordon back in action as they’ll travel to Atlanta, who themselves are enjoying their spot in first place in the only division in the NFL with all sub-.500 teams. Green Bay will travel to Minnesota in a game that will make you want to turn your furnace on a few more degrees higher and Dallas travels to New York in the hopes that Eli Manning will beat his own interceptions record and be just as generous with the football again this week.

The Jets and Bills game could be moved from Sunday’s time considering the colossal dumping of snow the city of Buffalo has gotten this week and continues to get. There is currently a travel ban keeping people other than emergency personnel off of the roads and the Buffalo Bills team has yet to be able to hold a practice so far this week.

While the Pittsburgh Steelers are on the bye week you’ll want to pay attention to see how those Browns fare against the Falcons as well as Cincinnati and Houston. If J.J. Watt can damned hear single-handedly beat Cleveland last week, let’s see what kind of damage he can do against Andy Dalton and the Bengals. The Ravens will take on the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football, which will probably make you want to skip the whole pregame featuring Ray Lewis, just for your own sanity.

Last week there was a three-way tie for the winner of Week 11 between Brendan, Anthony and Justin. Justin now retains the overall lead but this is still anyone’s title to win. And by “anyone” clearly I mean me. Feel free to join us in making picks of your own in the comments section, or take the opportunity to heckle and criticize our predictions if that’s your deal. Make picks of your won or you can root for your favorite NPC staffer!
