Steelers vs. Bengals: Fantasy Outlook

The Steelers suffered some concerning injuries in a loss to the Saints last week. Here is a look at the fantasy outlook for this week’s matchup against the Bengals.

More from Still Curtain

Ben Roethlisberger may or may not have broken his wrist in the game against the Saints, but the injury certainly seemed to affect his throwing. The game against the Bengals will be a sign of whether or not Ben will be able to play through the injury and maintain a high level of performance. Roethlisberger has proven in the past that he can win games while struggling through injuries.

Le’Veon Bell should continue to maintain his high level of involvement. With the departure of LeGarrette Blount and Roethlisberger’s injury, there are more and more reasons why Bell needs to keep up a heavy workload.

It would be nice to see Martavis Bryant involved to the extent that he was earlier in the season. The rookie wide receiver flashed in his first few games, but has been somewhat kept in check since. He has not been able to win contested balls, which should be a key skill for a receiver of his size. It would be good for the rookie to finish his first season with some strong performances.

Antonio Brown continues to shine and that isn’t going to change. There isn’t really much to say hear.

For the Bengals, Andy Dalton has been putting together a rather mediocre season. He has weapons, but his inconsistency has limited their effectiveness.

Talents such as Jeremy Hill, A.J. Green, Gio Bernard, and Mohamed Sanu all have showcased their abilities at times this season, but it all stems from the quarterback.
