Simple Plan

The Steelers plan on Sunday is simple: beat the Chiefs, clinch playoff spot. But, as Mike Prisuta points out, that’s a task that a lot of these Steelers aren’t familiar with. One player who is familiar with the playoffs, is linebacker James Harrison. He’s trying to impart the sense of urgency to the rest of the youngsters about how important it is to just succeed at the task at hand without looking farther down the line.

"“You can have a good feeling one play and a bad feeling the next play. We’re not looking at feelings. We’re going to go out there and play each down and play each quarter and play each half and try to come out with enough good plays to get a ‘W.’ We need to win this game. I’ll worry about anything else after we get through this next week.” – James Harrison"

Polamalu Unlikely

Steelers strong safety Troy Polamalu did not participate in practice all week, making his status for Sunday’s game against Kansas City “doubtful.” ESPN’s Scott Brown explains that cornerback Ike Taylor is also doubtful for the Chiefs game and Will Allen and Brice McCain are expected to start for Polamalu and Taylor. McCain will be starting his second game in a row for Taylor.

Steelers Triplets

Call them the new “Triplets” or the “Killer B’s” or whatever you want, but Ben Roethlisberger, Le’Veon Bell, and Antonio Brown are getting some national attention for being the leaders of the NFL’s top-ranked offense. CBS Sports’ Pete Prisco broke down some plays he’s saying highlight just how gifted and efficient this offense has become this season. He also credits Steelers OC Todd Haley and Offensive Line coach Mike Munchak for the Steelers offensive success this year.
