Steelers Trust Ben, Pro Bowl Noms, Bengals Rematch

Your Pittsburgh Steelers are back in the playoffs after a two-year hiatus. But first, the important business to attend to will be reclaiming the AFC North title for the first time since 2010. While the Steelers prepare for a Sunday night AFC North showdown with the Cincinnati Bengals, we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Trust in Ben
Although the Steelers haven’t ran the no-huddle offense as much as expected this season, they’re still finding success and still finding that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is trusted by the coaching staff to make decisions at the line of scrimmage based on what the defense is showing.
Mike Prisuta explains that Roethlisberger is impacting about 75 percent of the offensive plays when they aren’t in no-huddle with some type of check call at the line. He can do anything from check out of a run to change the side of the field the play is going to. The receivers have to be in in what the change may be for it to work.

Steelers Pro Bowl Selections
Five Steelers were voted to the 2015 Pro Bowl roster on Tuesday night. Ben Roethlisberger was named to his third Pro Bowl for his career. Le’Veon Bell was selected to his first ever Pro Bowl. Antonio Brown has his third Pro Bowl selection and Maurkice Pouncey has his fourth Pro Bowl selection of his career. The other newcomer of the group is linebacker Lawrence Timmons, who was selected to his first ever Pro Bowl. The Pro Bowl will be in Arizona this year instead of Hawaii.

Mitchell looking forward to Bengals rematch
Mark Kaboly of the Trib reminds us all how badly the Steelers secondary was burned by the Bengals’ A.J. Green when the two teams met three weeks ago. Green collected 224 yards on 11 receptions including an 81-yard touchdown pass from Andy Dalton. Kaboly says that Steelers safety Mike Mitchell is looking forward to the possibility of redemption in the rematch for the AFC North title.
