Steelers 2015 Opponents Finalized

With the end of the 2014 Regular season comes the first peak at the 2015 Regular season in the form of the list of opponents the Steelers will face next year. Per Teresa Varley, aside from the obvious AFC North teams the Steelers will face the Broncos, Raiders, Colts, Cardinals, and 49ers at home in 2015. And aside from the AFC North road action the Steelers will travel to Kansas City, New England, San Diego, Seattle, and St. Louis. Perhaps it will be time for the Steelers to finally take a look at their travel routines?

Bell avoids major injury

ESPN is reporting as of Monday afternoon that Steelers running back and team MVP, Le’Veon Bell’s MRI showed no ligament damage to his right knee. Bell left the Bengals game in the third quarter after taking a direct shot to his knee by Bengals safety Reggie Nelson. His status for Saturday’s Wild Card game against Baltimore is still unclear.

Steelers Report Card

Gerry Dulac of the PPG handed out his grades for the Steelers’ 27-17 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals that clinched the AFC North division title and provided a home playoff game next week against the Baltimore Ravens. The overall grade for the team was an A. Ben Roethlisberger graded a B for his first interception in four games, but he was battling a stomach illness and constant runs to the locker room for most of the first half.

The wide receivers obviously get an A behind Antonio Brown’s spectacular game with 7 catches for 128 yards, making him the first Steeler to lead the league in receptions and receiving yards. The offensive line got a C+ for a costly Ramon Foster holding penalty that negated a 59-yard run by Josh Harris. The shocker of the article was that he graded the secondary an A+ for the three takeaways they caused in the game. The secondary. The Steelers secondary. Amazing.

He graded the coaching staff with an A-, which is fair for getting the win but I’d bet the minus is for calling that bone-headed fake-punt by Brad Wing late in the fourth quarter. That was dumb and poorly executed. A bad combination.
