NICE PICK, COWHER STAFF

Craig Gottschalk, Lead blogger: I was born and raised in Pittsburgh for over 21 years.  Pursuits within my career moved me westward to places like Ohio, Minnesota and Wisconsin.  I currently live in the Milwaukee area, but my heart will always belong in Pittsburgh.  I now must suffer the wrath of Cheeseheads due to SBXLV, but you can tell Steelers Nation resides here and thrives as it does all over the country.

Kimmy Myers, Staff Writer:  I was born in Keflavik, Iceland.  I am the daughter of a retired Navy Master Chief which afforded me the opportunity to move to many different places.  With my father from Pittsburgh and my mother from Erie, it was destined that my older sister, twin sister, and I would be Steelers fans.  I lived in Pittsburgh in the early 80’s then returned in the 90’s to attend the University of Pittsburgh.  I currently reside in Orlando, Fl where I work for a national online university.  I began my own blog during the 2010-11 season.  My heart will always belong to the great city of Pittsburgh and the beloved Steelers.

Dominic John di Tolla, Staff Writer:  While I grew up in San Diego and Denver, and lived for extended periods in both Tucson and Honolulu, I’ve been representing Steeler Nation West of the Mississippi for over two decades.  The person most responsible for my love of the Steelers is my Mom who pretty much had me waving a Terrible Towel since birth.  I recently received my B.A. from The University of Arizona in History with a Minor in Economics.  Now I’m currently working in Tucson for a year before I pursue a post-grad M.B.A. degree in Management (hopefully with a focus on Sports Management).  Besides following the Steelers, my hobbies include reading about history and sports, doing stand-up comedy, and following the San Diego Padres.

Dave Buzard, Staff Writer: Dave grew up in Western PA.  Was sitting in front of the all knowing orb when the Immaculate Reception happened.  Hooked for life!( on the orb and the Steelers)  Works in the medical field and plays guitar in a couple of loud type rock and roll bands.

Kari Mayhew, Staff Writer:  I’m a displaced Pittsburgher now living in Carolina, under the shadow of Cowher’s chin. I’m constantly trying to keep the pigskin season talk alive, as autumn thoughts turn to college basketball pretty quickly here. Through fourth quarter comebacks, heartbreaking losses, plays that take your breath away, plays you want to forget, I’m a Steelers fan. The second best day of my life was attending Superbowl 43. (I am married after all). Growing up, I knew all the words to the Stiller fight song, still do. When the black and gold aren’t playing, you’ll find me pursuing my other passion, triathlon. I also enjoy spending time with friends, traveling to places near and far, and watching really bad tv.

Jeff Snedden, Staff Writer: Jeff has written for numerous online outlets, specifically centering on the Pittsburgh sports scene. A dedicated lifetime fan of both the Steelers and Pirates, Jeff has a passion for the Steel City that comes through in his writing.
