What We Learned in Week 4 in the NFL:

• Jets get blanked at home by 49ers
• The Dolphins still make Hootie cry
• Cam Newton fumbles win
• Green Bay gets screwed by refs twice in the same week while Saints remain winless
• Peyton Manning’s arm apparently isn’t a wet noodle

There’s nothing like an exciting slate of football game finishes to make up for lack of Steelers football on a Sunday.  As a fan of the NFL it sure was nice to watch games without the ridiculous officiating that had plagued the first three weeks of the season.  The real refs are back and it’s much better to scream at qualified guys rather than the foot locker employees. Sometimes I feel like I’m writing articles for The Onion whenever I write about the Arizona Cardinals.  It’s almost a joke, but not really, about how they somehow find themselves an organization who keeps bringing in personnel who were at one time or another – recently or not – was a Pittsburgh Steeler.

The Arizona Cardinals – aka Pittsburgh West – have grabbed another Steeler for their ranks.  It’s been reported by ESPN and released by the Cardinals front office that William Gay and the Cardinals have come to a two year agreement.  Details on the agreement have yet to be fully disclosed.

I feel like the Cardinals owe the Steelers big time for all the people the Steelers keep sending over their way.  I guess a Super Bowl XLIII win will just about cover it…. but I feel like there should be something else more recent.  Is there anything the Cardinals have that they can offer the Steelers?  Does the state of Arizona have anything?  No?  Eh well.  Best of luck to you, Gay.  Doubt you’ll be winning championships anytime soon, but you probably will make the most money out this deal than you will out of your entire career.
